Star Trek has its universal translator; husbands don’t have that benefit. This morning my family is getting ready to head home after a vacation. As I’m getting out of the shower, my wife announces that the hotel housekeeper didn’t leave styrofoam cups for the in-room coffee to replace the ones we used yesterday, but that she saw some in the lobby. My mental translator buzzes. What you really mean, I say, is go get some more styrofoam cups. She just smiles.
