Advent Lights for the Front Yard

Tonight we ordered strings of purple outdoor lights for the front yard.  (Purple is the traditional liturgical color for Advent.)   When we decorate next weekend, we’ll string the purple lights alongside our usual multi-colored Christmas lights. 

But during Advent, we’ll plug in the purple lights only, and leave the Christmas lights unplugged.

Then on Christmas Eve, we’ll switch:  We’ll unplug the purple lights, and plug in the multi-colored ones.

I’ll be curious to see how it looks.
