A new, cross-denominational, liturgical church?

At The Topmost Apple, author “bls” calls for a fresh start for Christianity, in the form of a new, cross-denominational, liturgical church:

I’m just about positive at this point that there’s no hope for any of the world’s current organized Churches to right themselves; they are lost and cannot be salvaged. […]

Let people who are barely sacramental do things the way they wish to. Let the High Church crowd do things the way they want to. We’ll be (literally) Protestant and Catholic – welcoming people coming from any denomination, but not one ourselves. (This really is what we love about Anglicanism, anyway.) […]

We already have a model for this idea, BTW: the brothers of Taizé.
